Competency XI- Budgeting and Fiscal Management
Artifact One: One Stop Advisor and Office Proposal
This was a proposal submitted to University of the West's Dean of Student Affairs and President. It had the specific intent of allowing me to work full-time at the university and be formally recognized for those dual roles. The new position would have been titled One Stop Advisor, supported the dual role model of academic advising complementing the existing faculty advisors at UWest, and laid the foundation for the creation of a One Stop Office which would serve to disseminate all information relevant to new students in an effective manner as well as support them in their advisement needs once they were students. The proposal was submitted with a budget, research support, and an highlights of some of my more relevant experiences which demonstrated my qualifications, skills, and passion in serving students in this expanded role at University of the West.
All citations are included in the proposal.

Artifact Two: Director of Admissions and Office of Admissions Organizational Structure Proposal
Below is an proposal to create the position of a Director of Admissions position at University of the West. It was based on a proposal regarding aligning the offices of enrollment and admission at University of the West that had been submitted by me in early 2013. But, was rewritten to include some of the budgetary realities I had discovered while working for UWest in excess of a year. For this proposal a specific operational budget for the new position was included.
